Hey!
So this is only for iPhone/Apple users? Why cut off the Androids?
Very Sad,
Ali

Love It with one glaring exception. Ability to cache or download album for offline viewing like the companion iPad app. We all know that wen you need to view pics the most a cell signal or wifi will not be present!!
Comment by Pravin Gandhi — March 1, 2012 @ 5:01 am
@Ali,
It’s a fair question, but unfortunately there is no easy way to port an iOS app to the Android platform. Consequently it requires a lot of resources which we currently rather use for completing the iPhone/iPad based Viewbook apps as the amount of Viewbook users on these platform significantly exceed the amount of Android users. Although Android is growing and both platforms have their (dis)advantages, and we don’t want to exclude users in the great functionalities apps offer within image presentation, it’s something we’re definitely looking at for the future.
@Andrew, @Pravin
Thanks for the compliments. There are lots of ideas for future updates, so stay tuned!

Always glad to see new features.
You see the “Like” and “Tweet” buttons on this page?
Is there a way of adding a “Like” button to a page of Viewbook customers?
I’m pretty sure that last year sometime I saw mention of this feature slated for January or Feb 2012 implementation, on your blog, but I can’t figure it out… Help! And thanks…

thank you. x

Yeah, excluding Android phones is not a smart move I think. More and more people are moving over to Android and it just doesn’t make sense to leave a big portion of your customers wanting more.
just my two cents…
APP LOOKS GREAT THOUGH…
Comment by Anthony — March 6, 2012 @ 8:35 pm
Nice little app, thanks. I’ll echo the request for offline viewing.
Is there any chance we could have the upload feature on the ipad app too as I use the ipad wirelessly tethered on shoots.

The app interface is really simple and beautifully designed. I noticed the pictures looks better and sharper comparing the same photo at the iPhone photos app. Will look for the upcoming updates for offline viewing.

Another vote for android please. Android tablet has some substantial advantages. I’m limping with the full website on asus tf700 — not ideal.

I have seen lots of useful elements on your website about computer systems. However, I have got the impression that laptops are still not quite powerful more than enough to be a option if you frequently do things that require many power, for example video editing. But for world wide web surfing, microsoft word processing, and quite a few other common computer work they are okay, provided you never mind the little screen size. Thank you for sharing your thinking.

I absolutely love your blog and find most of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for.
Does one offer guest writers to write content for yourself?
I wouldn’t mind producing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write related to here. Again, awesome blog!
