New Advanced Album, Easy Visual Styling

By Alrik | February 8th, 2010 | 47 Comments

We’ve just released a major new version of the Viewbook album and slideshow functionality. With many new features we can say we offer one of the most advanced flash albums available. But this release brings more; a completely new and very easy to use album editor. You can now style and configure your albums and see the changes instantly; 100% what you see is what you get!

The new album design is more refined and intuitive with enhanced text options, more configurability for thumbnails and navigation. For very large displays we added a HD viewing mode; full size viewing without quality loss! The new album also integrates seamlessly with the Viewbook Pages; a new editor lets you customize the albums inside your pages directly. Read more information and FAQ’s here.  Login and check it out! Viewbook PhotoStory Winner Francesco Giusti wins World Press Photo prize

By Alrik | February 6th, 2010 | 1 Comment

We’re happy to hear that Francesco Giusti, winner of the Viewbook Photostory 2009 in the documentary category, has also won a World Press Photo award. Francesco took the second prize in the Arts and Entertainment story category.

Francesco Giusti is a freelance documentary photographer focussing on social realities, communities and identity-related issues. His winning series ‘SAPE’ vividly pictures the ‘Sociéte des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes’. SAPE is a collective of elegant gentleman in Congo-Brazzaville, keeping alive an old passion of dressing stylishly and originally, thereby bringing a touch of glamour to their humble surroundings. It reflects, in Francesco’s words, ‘the wish, particularly of young people, not to be left behind by society.’

The 1st of May Francesco will receive his prize in Amsterdam. We as well as associate partner GUP Magazine will be there for a toast, but as this is quite a long way of, for now: congratulations!
