Yes, it’s happening! We just released our new long awaited website features. It’s now possible to create complete custom websites within your Viewbook Image Manager, with navigation menu’s, text pages, video embed and more. We managed to design and develop a modular system that is based on formats and albums, collections and pages as building blocks. Its a matter of drag and dropping these elements together and configuring layout, navigation, color and fonts to create your own custom website. It’s very flexible, dynamic and easy to use. After toying around for a bit you should be able to have your site up today!

The website features are exclusively available in the Pro account. However also the Standard account also got a bunch more customization options. How to video’s and tutorials will be available soonish! If you encounter any difficulties or bugs, please contact us and we’ll help you out asap.

  2. If you have a Standard account send an email to me (support@viewbook.com) with your username and we’ll activate the Pro account for you for a period of time so you can check it out.

  3. Problems…
Yesterday my personal photo was included in the logo according to the viewbook image manager, but today the photo appears only partially (just the top of the photo, the sky and some irons…!!!) but not myself .
I did again the same than yesterday, (copiying the http://……of my picture) but it not works and I can not see the way how to manage this matter.
If fact, I would like that my picture (the 1st picture in the album “Mi gente”) appears in the logo or in the front page. Yesterday it was possible….why not today???
Please, your help will be much appreciated
    thanks

  4. @Jaime, the logo will now be cropped inside a box of 340 pixels X 98 pixels. Please adjust the size of your logo / image so it fits within those dimensions. We had to implement this solution so that the logo will not overlap with the text, as happened before. Hope this helps you out. Thanks for your feedback.

Well basically i just can’t upload any images. The upload icon is “unclicable”.

  7. If you click one of your Albums you can upload images inside that Album. If this doesn’t work try to reload the Image Manager, or login again. Otherwise send a support mail to support@viewbook.com.

  8. Will it be possible to hide photos of a set? I would like to use a photo as thumbnail on the page, which should not be visible in the album.
    Thanks!

  10. Rien,
You announced some awesome new features. I have a pro account. How do I get to work on the new features so I can implement them. I did not see a link to find the “how”
    Thanks

  11. А почему у вас сайт в таких странных тонах? Содержание отличное, а дезайн можно поинтереснее сделать ;)

  12. A TIP!

With CSS inline you can really build your site to your own design.
Maybe a service in the future.

  14. We’re planning to add Custom CSS + Custom HTML templates in a couple of months, so web designers can do basically anything they want. Very exiting feature and we hope to get the web design community involved this way.

  15. I have went through all of the tutorials and most of the help section, and I cannot figure out how to make a navigation menu as mentioned above and shown in the example site (Portraits, Fashion, Advertising, etc.) where you can click on a word and be directed to a Collection page, Text page, or Album.

    How can I do this?

    Comment by Matthew Smith — March 9, 2010 @ 7:03 pm

  16. @ Matthew With a Pro account the pages that you create or drag within your site folder appear automatically in your navigation menu. If you have more questions, just mail me at support@viewbook.com
